About Perimeter Fencing and Gates
Perimeter Fencing and Gates is a Hampshire gate and fencing business run by its owner, Paul Sherwood. We are based near Romsey and install bespoke driveway gates, electric gates, gate automation and fencing across Hampshire.
Our history
Trading as Perimeter Fencing and Gates since 2015. Perimeter Fencing and Gates Ltd was incorporated in March 2025.

How we work
- Site survey. We look at the entrance, the levels and ground, and how the gate will be used.
- Written quotation. You get a written quote setting out the specification.
- Made to order. Your gates are made to the agreed design, dimensions and specification.
- Installation. Our own team installs the gate, and the automation if you are having it.
- Safety checks. We check the safety devices and force-test automated gates before handover.
- Aftercare. We recommend servicing electric gates every six months.

Roger Technology automation
We fit Roger Technology brushless gate automation. These are low-voltage motors with a built-in digital encoder, which helps the control unit monitor gate movement. For you, that means smooth, controlled movement and the gate stopping where it should. We choose each motor to suit the gate’s size, weight and how often it will be used. We install underground and above-ground motors for swing gates, and motors for sliding gates, opened by remote fobs, keypads or an intercom.
Gates built around your entrance
We install bespoke steel-framed gates with timber or composite infill, alongside traditional hardwood gates in Iroko and Sapele. Each gate is made to order to the agreed design, dimensions and finish, with the construction and automation considered together from the start.
