Frequently Asked Questions

About Perimeter Fencing and Gates

Common questions about how we work, where we are based and how to start a properly surveyed installation with our team.

What does Perimeter Fencing and Gates do?

Perimeter Fencing and Gates designs, builds and installs high-quality gates, gate automation systems and fencing for homes, rural properties and selected commercial entrances across Hampshire and the South Coast.

Where are you based?

We are based near Romsey in Hampshire and work across the wider South Coast. Our workshop supports fabrication, preparation and project work before our team carries out the installation on site.

Do you carry out site surveys?

Yes. A site survey is the first step for most projects. We check the entrance or boundary, levels, access, ground conditions and practical requirements before recommending the right specification.

Do you use subcontractors?

Installation work is handled by our own team. This helps keep the workmanship, communication, safety checks and final finish consistent from survey through to handover.

Do you build gates in-house?

Where a bespoke gate is required, the work is handled through our Romsey workshop. Gates are built around the entrance, property style, usage and whether automation is required.

Can you advise on the right option?

Yes. We do not expect customers to know the full specification before contacting us. We assess the site, explain the options and recommend a suitable approach based on the property and intended use.

Do you provide written quotes?

Yes. Once the site has been assessed properly, we provide a clear written quote based on the agreed specification, materials, access requirements and installation method.

How do I get started?

The best first step is to request a survey. We will assess the property, discuss what you want to achieve and recommend the right route before quoting for the work.

For powered gate installations and safety upgrades, we follow HSE electric gate safety guidelines.

Need a properly surveyed installation?

Book a survey and we’ll assess the property, entrance or boundary before recommending the right solution.
