Quick Answers

The questions we get asked most before a new fence install. If you want a fast answer, send a photo of the boundary, an approximate run length, and your postcode via the form below.

How long does a fencing installation take?

Most residential fencing installs are completed in 1–2 days depending on run length and access. If there’s old fencing to remove, ground conditions are difficult, or we need to set multiple corners/levels, we’ll confirm the timeframe after a quick survey.

Can you remove and dispose of my old fence?

Yes — we can take down the existing fence, remove posts, and dispose of waste responsibly. We’ll always leave the site tidy and safe, and we’ll flag anything that could affect the install (hidden concrete, tree roots, services).

What type of fencing do you install?

We install closeboard (featheredge) fencing, panels, post & rail, and security fencing options depending on the property and the level of privacy you want. We’ll recommend the most durable option for wind exposure, ground levels and the look you’re aiming for.

How deep do fence posts need to go?

As a rule, posts need to be set deep enough to resist wind load and keep the fence straight long-term. Depth can vary depending on fence height, soil type and exposure. We set posts properly and align everything so the run stays true, not wavy after a few months.

Will the fence be straight if the ground slopes?

Yes. On sloping ground we’ll either step the fence or rake it depending on the style and what looks best. We’ll discuss the finish at survey so you get a clean line, consistent height and a professional result.

Can you repair storm-damaged fencing?

Yes. We can replace broken panels, rails and posts, straighten sections where possible, and rebuild runs that have failed. If the damage is widespread, we’ll advise whether repair or full replacement is the better long-term value.

If you’re unsure on boundaries or permissions, we’ll flag practical considerations at survey so the job runs smoothly.
