Quick Answers
The questions we get asked most before a bespoke gate build. If you want a fast answer, send a photo of the entrance and the opening width via the form below.
How long does a bespoke gate installation take?
Most installs are completed in a day once fabrication is done. If posts, groundworks, or automation wiring are required, we’ll confirm the expected timeframe at survey.
Can you build gates to match an existing fence or frontage?
Yes — we design the style, spacing and finish to suit the property. Timber, steel, composite and mixed builds are all made to measure, so the gate looks intentional rather than “added on”.
Do you supply manual gates as well as electric-ready gates?
Yes. We fit manual gates and we also build gates that are automation-ready (correct clearances, structure and hinge arrangement). You can automate now or upgrade later.
What’s the best material — steel or timber?
It depends on the look you want and the exposure at the entrance. Steel offers crisp lines and long-term rigidity. Timber brings warmth and privacy. Mixed builds combine both for a modern, premium finish.
Will my driveway slope affect the gate design?
Potentially — but it’s common. We measure levels and advise the best option (hinge set-up, gate split, swing direction, or sliding). The goal is smooth operation and correct clearances.
Can you add automation later?
Yes. If you think you may automate in the future, we’ll build the gates with the right structure and geometry so an upgrade is straightforward.
