Answers Before You Call.
A few common questions we’re asked about gates, fencing and automation — so you can plan properly and we can quote accurately.
Do I need power at the gate already?
Not always. For most automated gates we need a safe power supply to the control point and a suitable route for any cabling to the gate. If power isn’t in place, we’ll advise what’s required and where it needs to go after a site visit.
What information do you need to give a quote?
A few photos and basic dimensions help, but for gates and automation we usually carry out a quick site check. We’ll look at opening width, levels, post positions, ground conditions, and safe placement for motors and safety gear.
How long is the lead time?
Lead times vary depending on design, finish and workload. Once you’re happy with the specification, we’ll confirm an expected installation window in writing and keep you updated.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Your quotation will confirm what’s covered for fabrication, installation and any automation equipment. If you ever have an issue, you’re dealing with the same team that built and installed it.
Roughly how much do gates cost?
Every entrance is different, so we price based on size, design, materials and whether automation is included. As a guide, a bespoke pair of manual gates typically starts from the low thousands, while automated systems and sliding gates cost more due to groundwork, safety equipment and commissioning.
If you tell us the opening size and the style you like (timber, composite or steel), we can usually give a sensible starting range before a site visit.
